See 9/11 history at the NCC

As controversy swirls around a proposed mosque on the site of the 9/11 attacks in New York City, the ceremonies that take place during this Saturday’s anniversary will be closely watched by the American public.

The 9/11 attacks and the resulting War on Terror raised a wide variety of constitutional issues, from the Patriot Act to act of declaring war, Americans on both sides of the isle struggled to marry this new era of American foreign policy with the principles set forth by the signers.

Here at the Center, we’ve hosted a small handful of events on the 9/11 attacks and feature the attacks prominently in our permanent exhibit. However, no artifact captures the terror of the attacks than the peice of World Trade Center wreckage that is on display at the Center today:
