“Discover the Real George Washington” opens today [VIDEO]

Today, the National Constitution Center’s summer feature exhibition, Discover the Real George Washington: New Views from Mount Vernon, opens to the public. The exhibition gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at our nation’s first president through his achievements, legacies, family, intellectual pursuits, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Visitors will encounter Washington close-up and as they have never seen him before. The father of our country was a man of many parts: an ambitious youth, a dauntless warrior, a troubled slaveholder, a statesman and a hero.
